Discovering Imagination & Education

SASKATOON, SK – May 14, 2018 – Midwest Group is pleased to announce the award of drywall and acoustical scope in the new Saskatoon Children’s Discovery Museum.

Under contract to Strata Development, Midwest Group will be providing supply and install for all curved walls, partitions, grid, and bulkheads. A significant design feature; acoustic panels will be installed on the walls and ceilings in an effort to reduce reverberating noise. Designed by Kindrachuk Agrey Architecture, the Children’s Discovery Museum is increasing from 2,000 to 12,000 square feet of exhibit space. The additional space will be host to many new learning opportunities, such as: ‘Toon Town, The Climber, and Subterranea.’

“I am thrilled to be working on such a significant project. As a father, I understand the importance of creativity, imagination, and education,” says project manager, Mike Isbister. “Being able to contribute to a place where children can come learn about science, technology, nature, and culture means a lot to me.”

Midwest Group’s scope of work will be complete in late 2018, and the Children’s Discovery Museum is set to open in early 2019.
